The flavors of Iceland land in Boston with a long weekend of cuisine and culture from the Nordic country. The Taste of Iceland runs Thursday, March 16th through Monday, March 20th with assorted showcases of Icelandic short films, music, literature, visual arts — and eats. Starting Friday, March 17th, guests to The Merchant can indulge in a four-course prix fixe collaboratively composed by chef Edwin Morales and Icelandic chef Siggi Helga. Plates like grilled lamb, smoked sea trout and more are on the menu, available for $68 per person through Monday the 20th during regular dinner hours. Cocktails featuring Reyka Vodka and the country’s signature schnapps, Brennivin, will be on offer thanks to bartender Bryan Ames and Brennivin cocktail champ Kári Sigurðsson.
