Sycamore’s 4th Annual Oktoberfest Dinner

Beer might get most of the attention during Oktoberfest, but what about the food? Sycamore doesn’t skip over the celebratory cuisine — in fact, it’s the fourth year in a row that they’ve held an Oktoberfest-themed dinner as part of the First Mondays series. Pay a visit to the Newton Center spot on Monday, October 1st for your fill of some of chef-owner Dave Punch and chef Lydia Reichert‘s favorite German and Alsatian dishes. You can expect their famous pretzels, charcroute garni (a spectacular cabbage & sausage dish typically made with white wine), manager Lizzie’s tarte tatin and more — last year’s line-up included spaetzle, schnitzel and pierogies (and they may be making a return). The menu will be a la carte, so no tickets are needed, but you can secure your seat by shooting an email to lizzie@jpbeergarden.com with details on how many people are in your party and a time frame of availability. Seating is communal, so get ready to make friends (don’t worry, everyone is nice after a few beers). Call 617.244.4445 with any questions.
