Polenta Parties at Sulmona

Treat yourself to a special menu and Abruzzese tradition at Kendall Square’s Sulmona, where chef-owner Delio Susi will be hosting Polenta Parties throughout the month of February. Inspired by his family’s recipes and the polenta-themed meals he enjoyed at his Aunt Maria’s house, Susi will be serving the cornmeal dish on custom made maple planks with parmesan cheese and extra-virgin olive oil from the Susi family vines back in Sicily. Each plate can be adorned with toppings for $18-$32 per person (depending on the topping selection). Among the options: country ribs and cabbage; veal stew and wild mushrooms; shrimp scampi; cabbage and garlic, wild mushroom and sage; and bagna calda (a garlic, butter, anchovy-based dip).

General Manager Carmelo Bari and his team have even added a cocktail to accompany the polenta: the Pia. Served in a polenta- and sugar-rimmed coupe glass, the drink combines Grey Goose Pear Vodka, muddled sage simple syrup, Cynar (artichoke liquor), lime juice and blood orange.

You can enjoy this unique experience during dinner service (with the exception of Valentine’s Day) from February 1st-28th. Planning to visit with your whole crew? Book the Farmer’s Table for groups of as many as 12. Call 617.714.4995 for more information or reservations.
