Suburban Benefit for Share Our Strength

Your favorite outside-the-city chefs convene in Westwood on Monday, March 19th for a seven-course benefit dinner hosted by chefs Steven LaCount and Joe Rocco at Chiara. After a 6:30pm hors d’oeuvre reception, champagne-sipping guests will sit for the collaborative dinner which pulls from the menus at restaurants like Coriander Bistro in Sharon, West Newton’s Lumiere, Savino’s Restaurant in Belmont, Winchester favorite Catch and Arlington’s Tryst. Just to give you an idea of the evening’s menu: Lumiere chef-owner Michael Leviton is up first with spring asparagus soup with morel mushroom and fava bean ragout; chef Chris Parsons of Catch contributes seared rare yellowfin tuna with artichokes à la grecque, Vidalia onion confiture and brown beech mushrooms; Chiara chefs Steven LaCount and Joe Rocco will be serving herbed rack of Colorado lamb with truffled Barolo sauce, potato and sunchoke gratin, and braised lamb shank with spring vegetables; and Coriander Bistro’s Kevin Crawley wraps things up with three chocolate gateau with three chocolate sauces. Tickets for the dinner cost $200 each. Proceeds form the event benefit Share Our Strength, a national non-profit dedicated to ending hunger. Call Chiara at 781.461.8118 for more information or to purchase your tickets.
