Strawberry Season Gets Sweeter

This June, support local Massachusetts farmer’s markets just by dining out at some of your favorite restaurants. In honor of the June strawberry season, from Friday, June 12th through Sunday, June 28th more than 15 of the greater Boston area’s best eateries will be putting special strawberry-centric desserts on their menus for the Strawberry Desssert Festival. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these designated, straberry-laden desserts will be donated to the Mass Farmer’s Markets Association, a nonprofit devoted to supporting local farmers markets. So save room for something sweet after dinner at The Beehive, Beacon Hill Bistro, The Fireplace, Henrietta’s Table, Highland Kitchen, Lineage, Rialto, Summer Shack Cambridge, Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro, Tomasso Trattoria, Tremont 647, Tryst and Garden at the Cellar (where they will be serving a savory strawberry dish – just to mix it up a little bit). In addition, you can do your part in helping local farmers by shopping at Whole Foods where they will be donating 10% of the proceeds from strawberry baked goods sales to the cause throughout the month of June.
