If you’re looking for something *literally* super cool to do this weekend get down to Downtown Crossing for all the twinkly lights and decorated trees at the Snowflake Crossing Ice Festival. The streets and steps of your favorite DTX businesses will be transformed with large-scale interactive ice sculptures, live music, dancing performances, a 21+ Cocoa Cafe, and appearances from Urban Nutcracker, Black Nativity and Blades from the Boston Bruins. The free festivities go down from 11:00am to 5:00pm on Friday December 17th and Saturday, December 19th, and you can take a break from the deep freeze fun with your friends at The Merchant on Saturday — the doors open at noon for cocktails and tastes of chef Ignacio Lopez’s brasserie-style bites.
