On Thursday, May 18th newly promoted executive chef Mark Sapienza hosts a special wine dinner at Julien highlighting the wines of Napa Valley’s Sterling Vineyard. The evening gets underway at 6:30pm with passed appetizers and an overview of the selected wines for the evening. At 7:15pm diners will take their seats in the dining room to enjoy a four course menu of corn flour-crusted soft shell crab with creamy white polenta and Eva’s Garden sorrel butter; Vermont Lamb and garlic sausage with favas, spring bulb onion and sweet pepper fondue; and petit filet mignon, smoked bacon, tomatoes and Roquefort. Executive pastry chef Alejandro Luna offers a honey spice torte with sassafras scented ganache and blackberry sorbet. With Jeffrey Moore, Julien’s beloved pianist, on hand to entertain guests, the evening is shaping up to be nearly perfect.
