It’s slowly but surely becoming sweater weather and colder nights call for one thing: plates upon plates of warm Northern Italian dishes with thoughtfully paired glasses of wine. Find both of those comforting favorites at Spoke Wine Bar on Wednesday, October 3rd — they’re partnering up with U.S.-based importer, The Piedmont Guy, who represents a small selection of family-owned wineries from the Piedmont region of Italy. Showcasing the fine wines of Piedmont is all they do (hence the name), and they’re fiercely passionate about sharing the stories of the makers and masters from that area.
In addition to distinctive vinos that are made with mostly indigenous and rare varietals — namely Arneis, Timorasso, Ruché and Nebbiolo — there’ll be a four-course menu prepared by chef Eric Frier featuring ingredients sourced from local farmers and the sea, which means you can expect a seafood dish or two as part of the spread. Your spot at the table costs $135 plus a processing fee, and it’s inclusive of tax & gratuity. Book online, or call 617.718.9463 to make a reservation.
