Spicy Mondays: Hot Chix Pop-Up

Hot Chix Instagram

Even though the cooler temps are rolling in, you can warm yourself up every Monday with Nashville-style hot fried chicken take-out from the folks at Hot Chix Boston. PAGU chef-owner Tracy Chang has invited her pal Alex Nystedt (former General Manager of Sportello who now runs the fire chicken pop-up) and his crew to her spot in Cambridge to deliver the motherclucking goods right to you.

Go for the hot sandwich with pickles and slaw or, if you’re not sure you can handle the heat, get the not spicy fried chicken sandwich with pickles, slaw and special sauce (without the flames). Add extras like broccoli slaw, mac and cheese, banana pudding, buttermilk honey butter biscuits or, if you aren’t feeling clucky, try their hot fish sandwich or hot shrimp sandwich. They’ve also got a sandwich pack for two filled with two sandos, all three sides and banana pudding for just $44 if you want to bundle up your eats to feed a bunch.

Whatever you’re in the mood for or however many mouths you’re feeding, you can just place your order through the HotChix website (between 4:15 and 7:45pm) and pick up at PAGU on Mass Ave. Spice up your Monday night dinner and bring a little heat to the beginning of the week.
