Chef Barry Maiden, of Hungry Mother and State Park, teams up with the Jewish-themed pop-up, Kitchen Kibbitz, for a Southern Schmear Brunch on Sunday, August 10th. Maiden has collaborated with chefs Jeff Gabel and Josh Lewin (most recently of Beacon Hill Bistro) to design a four-course, family style menu blending the food traditions of the Jewish deli and South into one delicious experience. Smoked whitefish salad with mayo and hushpuppies, as well as housemade pastrami with collard kraut, creole mustard and pickled green tomatoes are just a couple of the highlights of this culinary mashup. Seatings at State Park will be at 10:30am and at 1:00pm. Tickets, which can be purchased here for $45 each, cover food and one cocktail.
