If your understanding of South American wines is limited to Malbec you should scoop up a spot for this week’s wine dinner at Forage on Tuesday, May 9th. Countries like Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Brazil are producing some amazing wines with all kinds of varietals, and wine guru Stan Hilbert has curated a handful of interesting and exciting bottles to share with you. Chef Eric Cooper has four courses of adventurous spring dishes to really make the wines shine, with pairings like Striped Bass Ceviche with Radish Salad, Bibb Lettuce paired with 2021 “Grand Itata” Blanco, Rogue Vine, Chile; and Choripán Mushroom Sausage Sandwich with Chimichurri, Grilled Red Onions, Charred Scallion Salad paired paired with 2019 Tinto, Cara Sur, Calingasta Valley, San Juan, Argentina. Patio season is in full swing, so grab a reservation here to dine al fresco (or in the dining room) for $95 per person and head to Cambridge between 5:00 and 8:45pm. Or if you prefer to take your wine dinner home you can order it to go here for $160 (serves two people). Plus you can add an optional cheese course for $25.
