Sofra Bakery & Cafe is turning nine and they want everyone to get in on the birthday festivities, scheduled for Sunday, August 20th. RSVP to the party (by buying a ticket) and enjoy assorted meze to start (aka dinner) followed by six sweets including the requisite ice cream and cake (it’s not a party if there’s no cake). Owners Ana Sortun and Maura Kilpatrick have gotten the whole extended family, including folks from sister restaurants Oleana and Sarma, to contribute confections. The event starts at 6:30pm with a savory meze reception (just to say you had a little dinner) and then gets into the good stuff.
