On Wednesday, September 12th, Il Casale in Lexington is calling in a hometown hero to help take you on a tour of Sicily, building a dinner around the award-winning olive oils of Lexington’s own Giuseppe Taibi. Starting at 6:00pm, taste your way around Italy’s southern cousin with five courses that each incorporate a different olive oil, starting with a fennel salad dressed in “Nocellara” oil and finishing with (what else?) Grandma’s olive oil cake made from “Biancolilla” (don’t worry, you’ll learn what they all mean during dinner). Each course will be paired with one of Il Casale’s favorite Sicilian wines, and the whole meal is $85 excluding tax and gratuity.
