Second Annual Lamb Jam

The date has been set, the breweries have been picked and the chefs have signed on – all you have to do is get your tickets and seventeen tasty dishes made with the finest American lamb can be yours. Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 20th when BostonChefs.com and the American Lamb Board host thesecond annual Lamb Jam at the Charles Hotel. Divided into four groups, the chefs – from restaurants like Aura, Bistro du Midi, Bondir, Citizen, The Fireplace, Garden at the Cellar, Gargoyles, Gourmet Caterers, Henrietta’s Table, Oleana, Pain D’Avignon, Red lion Inn, Rialto, Russell House, Sel de la Terre, 606 Congress and Tomasso Trattoria – will be cooking with select cuts (shoulder, loin, shank and leg) in competition for the Best in Show top prize and a place at the NYC championship cook-off. Tickets cost $50 apiece and cover food as well as beer and wine pairings from eight breweries and an assortment of West Coast wines. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Lovin’ Spoonfuls, a local charitable organization that facilitates the recovery and distribution of perishable and unserved foods. The lamb-filled fun, which also includes butchery demonstrations and a meet and greet with local farmers, runs from 3:00-6:00pm. Pick up tickets – and check for deals – on the Lamb Jam website.
