See Seafood and Eat It

The Boston Seafood Festival returns to the Bank of America Pavilion (right on the waterfront, appropriately enough) for the second consecutive year. The Saturday, September 28th festivities, which run from 11:00am to 10:00pm, will be all about showcasing the bounty of New England’s fish industry with over twenty vendors serving all sorts of seafood, an all day lobster bake, chef demos, oyster shucking contests, educational seminars, an aquarium touch tank, crafts and some hands-on activities for the kiddies. Tickets to the festival are $10 apiece and cover admission and most of the fun, though some vendors may charge for their plates. And if you simply cannot get enough of this fresh-from-the-sea fun, get your $125 ticket to the Boston Seafood Gala on Friday the 27th. Expect to taste dishes from chefs like Bran Anderson (Market), Andrew Hebert (Trade), Brian Rae (Rialto), Matthew Gaudet (West Bridge), Louis DiBiccari (Tavern Road), Will Gilson (Puritan & Co.), Dante de Magistris (dante), Carolyn Johnson (80 Thoreau), Nuno Alves (Tavolo), Rich Garcia (Renaissance Boston Waterfront), Nick Calias (Brasserie Jo) and Jose Duarte (Taranta). Tickets for both events are available online. Get yours asap so you don’t miss out.
