The Science of Cocktails 2.0

There’s more than shaking and/or stirring that goes into making a great cocktail – there’s a real science to it. See for yourself on Wednesday, November 28th at The Bittersweet Behind Sweet Cocktails, an exploratory session with the folks from LUPEC (that’s Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails). From 7:00-9:00pm, the Ladies and their friends at Science Club for Girls will be welcoming chemosensation specialist Don Katz and chemist Graham Wright to join them at Eastern Standard to look into the science of cocktail crafting. The early evening fun includes drinks from Bryn Tattan and Stephen Shellenberger and snacks from chef Matthew Audette. Proceeds from each $60 ticket will support an upcoming collaboration between the Science Club and the High Low Tech group at the MIT Media Lab (just a little project teaching middle school girls how to use an electronic prototyping platform to create cuddly monsters – no big deal). Get one of the last few tickets online to get all geeked out – over cocktails.
