Have an early dinner out of doors on Field & Vine’s Somerville patio. On Saturdays, co-owners Andrew Brady and Sara Markey will be celebrating the seasonal bounty (and the end of a long week in a weird year) at two al fresco seatings (3:00/3:30pm or 5:00/5:30pm). Take your pick and grab a blanket (and also a jacket and probably a scarf – better to have too many layers than not enough!) and head for Union Square to partake of the fun and the food, all of which will be cooked outside over hot coals. The tentative menu, priced at $65 per person, includes warming deliciousness like grilled maitake mushrooms with mole and herbs; poached oysters with jimmy red, grits pickled poblanos and grilled scallions; and pancakes with cranberry compote, honey, walnuts and goat cheese.
