Brace yourselves, beer geeks: things are about to get intense. The Extreme Beer Festival is coming to Boston the first weekend in February, celebrating over 120 boundary-breaking brewers from all across the land (and the 400+ beers they’ll be pouring), and Row 34 is diving into the action. Helmed by their fearless Beer Director Suzy Hays, they’ll be hosting a trio of events before and during the Fest to keep you in suds all weekend long.
On Thursday, January 31st, pucker up to the big celebration at the Sour Ale Kickoff. Almanac, Upland and The Rare Barrel will be siphoning their scrumptious sours through the draft lines starting at 5:00pm.
On Friday, February 1st, Beantown is being invaded by tipples from the Tristate area, with breweries from New York and New Jersey taking their turn on the tap lines. Come taste beers by Finback, Carton and the super-sought-after SingleCut breweries from 5:00 to 11:00pm. See who else is going on Facebook.
On Saturday, February 2nd, close out the weekend right with a Foam party. Burlington, Vermont’s own Foam Brewers will be in the house, pouring their finest and also free to chat with curious fans, nerds and connoisseurs from 5:00pm until it’s all gone or the lights come on.
