Robert Jean Chefs Dinner

Pigtale

Boston chefs are a tight-knit bunch, and it’s never more apparent than when a member of the extended family needs help. On Tuesday, April 24th, a who’s who of local cookers are hosting a fundraising tribute dinner in honor of their friend and colleague Chef Robert Jean, who passed away unexpectedly in March. Jean left an indelible mark on the city’s culinary scene, shaping the menus at Teatro, Sorellina, and L’Andana as opening chef, before heading north to open Pigtale in Nashua, New Hampshire. The 7:00pm dinner, which will be held at Mike’s City Diner, features five courses created by chefs Ming Tsai, Andrew Taylor, Ken Oringer, Jamie Bissonnette, Jay Hajj and Tony Messina; Jodie Battles will be picking out the evening’s wines. Tickets ($350 each on Eventbrite, where you can also make a donation if you’re unable to attend) are extremely limited and bound to go fast. Proceeds will go to support Jean’s wife and kids.
