Quartino and Cicchetti at Rustic Kitchen

Chef Mark Usewicz turns the Rustic Kitchen in Porter Square into a Venetian wine bar on Monday nights this fall with Quartino and Cicchetti. Guests can choose from among four to six quartinos (that’s a 250 milliliter bottle of wine – about a third of a bottle) and pair it with small plates like fresh chickpeas cooked in olive oil with chiles and feta; pumpkin and goat cheese arancini; and house cured bresaola with pickled peaches. It’s a great way to try a few different wines with a selection of various nibbles without breaking the bank (cicchetti will be priced between $4-9 and wines between $9-16). The schedule is as follows: Monday, November 7th – Piedmont; Monday, November 14th – Veneto; Monday, November 21st – Tuscany; and Monday, November 28th – Sicily. Call Rustic Kitchen at 617.354.7766 for more information.
