Pregame your Fourth of July weekend with the pros from Summer Shack and Noir – Harvard Square will be giving off major summer party vibes with an epic clambake that only chefs Jasper White and Peter Davis could pull off. From 4:00 to 7:00pm on Friday, July 1st the Summer Shack’s seasonal pop-up (in the space adjacent to The Charles Hotel) will be transformed into a backyard barbecue bash with two outdoor bars, live music, specialty cocktails, and all the seafood you can handle. Kali Stoddard-Imari (@kaliloops) will play live while you sip Bacardi and Grey Goose Essence cocktails, Harpoon brews, and flights of rosé from French producers like Domaines Ott. Summer Shack will have all the clambake favorites, including their famous lobster rolls, while Noir will be serving up summer fare like beer-braised pork ribs, New England oysters, salt cod cakes and lamb sliders. No tickets are required, and food and drinks are a la carte. Simply get your best beachwear on — stripes and sandals are always apropos for the holiday — and head to the patio at 1 Bennett Street on Friday afternoon. If you can’t make it this weekend, Summer Shack’s Pop-Up will be open through October, with DJs every Friday and Saturday night all season — for event updates follow them on Instagram.
