Pok Pok’s Andy Ricker, Coming to Cambridge

Bangkok is pretty far away (but Little Donkey is a heck of a lot closer) so if you’re in the mood for Thai food, mark your calendar for Thursday, October 17th. James Beard Award-winning chef Andy Ricker of Portland, Oregon’s Pok Pok is popping up in Central Square. He’s teaming up with his fellow JBF honorees Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette to create a one-night-only menu at the Donk.

The menu, which is a surprise, will replace Little Donkey’s regular menu and likely feature bold —  and authentically Thai — flavors like lemongrass, coconut milk and peanut sauce. Cocktail specials like the Tamarind Whiskey Sour pictured above made with tamarind, fresh lime juice, palm sugar and bourbon on the rocks will complement the evening’s culinary offerings. Tables are booking up quickly — snag a table here (and fast) if you don’t want to miss out.
