Veuve Clicquot returns to Restaurant L on Sunday, July 16th for their annual Pétanque Tournament. For the uninitiated, pétanque is a bit like the French version of horseshoes or bocce, where players toss metal balls as close as possible to another smaller wooden ball. Swing by to watch the fun as chefs and restaurant industry folks go head to head. Stick around for lunch or an early dinner from one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs 2006, Pino Maffeo.
