Does wasting food really grind your gears? Help do something to minimize the amount of food that’s thrown away — 40% of food produced in the U.S. every year is wasted! — by supporting Food For Free at their Party Under the Harvest Moon. The local nonprofit rescues nearly 2 million pounds of food yearly from supermarkets, universities, corporate dining halls, wholesalers and farms, and this fundraiser helps make it possible for them to keep doing what they’re doing! There’ll be food and drink from local favorites like BISq, Henrietta’s Table, La Brasa, Russell House Tavern, Sofra Bakery & Cafe, Viale and more. Tickets are $75 each — snag yours here, then come by between 6:00 and 10:00pm at MIT’s Morss Hall to show your support.
