Davis Square dwellers know that karaoke at The Painted Burro is some serious biz, and on Tuesday, October 30th, the Mexican kitchen is turning creepy for Halloween Scaryoke. Grab a spooky potion from the bar off their themed cocktail list, and snag a table with your crew before the singing showdown starts at 9:00pm. Arrive a little early though to take part in some eatin’ — choose between plenty of apps from chef Joe Cassinelli’s kitchen like mango guacamole and chalupas; tons of tacos including BLT & cheese and short rib “double stack”; and tortas galore, unique pressed sandwiches that can be stuffed with non-traditional fillings like chicken milanese or street-style hot dogs.
Fill up your table with a festive spread of eats, then warm up your pipes before going on stage. The evening is your time to shine with your carefully chosen costume (and they ARE a requirement, no joke!), which might earn you a hefty prize: 1st place for best costume wins a $300 gift card to the Elm Street joint, 2nd place will get you $200 and 3rd place still finds you $100 richer than before. See who else is going on Facebook, and give 617.776.0005 ring with any Qs.
