Way back in 2008, Opus Affair (a community of arts & culture supporters) got together for their first event at Eastern Standard and drink-making mavens Kirsten Amann and Misty Kalkofen came up with an idea. Now, Opus Affair is turning ten and the tipple-loving twosome are about to launch their cocktail recipe book, Drinking Like Ladies. Celebrate both occasions this Sunday, June 24th at The Hawthorne from 2:00-5:00pm. There’ll be cocktails from the book and plenty of snacks and proceeds from ticket and book sales will benefit Jane Doe Inc., an advocacy organization against sexual assault and domestic violence. Tickets are $60 each (plus processing fees) and include two drink tickets and a commemorative glass. Get yours here.
