Opening Day Specials

The boys of summer are back in town for Opening Day on Thursday, April 5th. Whether or not you’re ballpark-bound, you can toast the start of a new season with fun specials at spots right by Fenway (if you want to be in the thick of things), and beyond (if you want to watch from a safe distance). Here are a few places where you’ll find celebratory eats and drinks.

ReelHouse: Sox Cider Cocktail

Pier 6’s sister spot across the harbor is offering a special Sox Cider cocktail all day long on Thursday, featuring nearby Downeast Cider, St. Germaine and raspberry. Swing out to East Boston and stop by Reelhouse for your $11 fix.

Coppersmith: The Grand Slam & Green Monster

If South Boston is more your scene, head to Coppersmith for The Green Monster, a thirst-quenching melon margarita, or another Sox-themed specialty, The Grand Slam, with Triple 8 Cranberry, New Amsterdam Peach simple syrup and soda water.

TAMO Bistro + Bar: The Home Opener

Can’t make it to Fenway on Thursday? Still get a taste of the action at TAMO Bistro + Bar with The Home Opener, their special fried fish sandwich with tartar sauce and fries, only available on Thursday. You’ll get the game day experience by watching via TV and be a whole lot more comfy.

Tapestry: Pregame Party

Just steps from Fenway Park, Tapestry will open its doors at noon on Thursday for a pre-game Sox party full of games, like bumper pool, shuffleboard tables and a dart board. They’ll have bar snacks, pizzas and plenty of beer & cocktails for you.

Bar Boulud: DB Dog

Inspired by the Fenway frank, the folks at Bar Boulud created the DB Dog to celebrate the season opener. The housemade beef frankfurter is served on a brioche bun with French mustard and crispy shallots, and it’s paired with a Peak Organic beer for $12.50. Find it in the bar and lounge through the whole season.
