Ommegang Hosts HopChef Boston

Brewery Ommegang brings HopChef, its traveling chef competition, back to Boston on Wednesday, May 21st. Catch the action at the Cyclorama starting at 7:00pm, when chefs from in and around the Hub show off their beer and food-pairing expertise. Their dishes, matched with a specific brew from the Ommegang portfolio, will be served to a panel of judges (that’s Craigie on Main‘s Tony Maws, Brewbound’s Chris Furnari and Saveur‘s Maria Uyehara, among others) and attendees (that’s you) for assessment. Vying for your vote? Kyle Stamps of Coda, Jeff Howe of Teatro, Julie Cutting of Cure, Johnny Sheehan of New World Tavern, Alex Jenkins of Foundry on Elm and Brian Reyelt of Citizen and Franklin Café. Your $65 ticket, available here, will get you in the door, watered (or beered, as the case may be) and fed. And you’ll get a commemorative glass. The fun starts at 7:00pm. Consult the HopChef website for additional details.
