Ocean-Friendly Blue Plate Specials

Teaming up with seven top chefs from around the city, the New England Aquarium launches their six-week-long Blue Plate Special program to educate diners about all their ocean-friendly seafood options. Starting on Friday, February 22nd chefs at Blue Ginger, EVOO, Turner Fisheries, Lumière, Area Four, Taranta and City Landing will be adding dishes featuring sustainably caught or raised seafood to their nightly menus. Among the array of possible fishes – Alaskan pollock and salmon, US-farmed catfish, bay scallops and striped bass, farm-raised clams, mussels and oysters, sardines and sablefish – so there are plenty of delicious ways to dine responsibly. You’ll see – just book a table and keep an eye out for New England Aquarium-approved, a la carte specials.
