It’s all about the ladies on Wednesday, February 13th — otherwise known as Galentine’s Day, thanks to Leslie Knope on Parks & Rec — and OAK Long Bar + Kitchen is getting into the spirit of the holiday by hosting a joint shindig with The Food Lens. Between 6:00 and 9:00pm, spend your time in Back Bay snacking on epic cheese and charcuterie plates filled with goodies crafted by female purveyors and washing it down with exceptional sippers made by female winemakers. OAK’s Executive Chef Graham Lockwood will be cooking up plates of passed apps while Pastry Chef Lindsay Le Blanc brings her baking to a sweets station.

There’ll also be a raw bar with shellfish that are shucked right in front of you plus a photo booth and gift bag giveaways featuring products from women-owned businesses. The whole party will be in support of a local charity, Women’s Lunch Place (WLP), which provides vital services for Boston women experiencing homelessness and poverty. Tickets are $55 per person plus a processing fee — $10 of which will go directly to WLP — and include all of the special treats mentioned above as well as two speciality cocktails.
