Champagne & French Fries Tasting

Oak Long Bar + Kitchen Facebook

Bubbly and frites? May seem like an unlikely combination, but these two french goodies make for fabulous culinary bedfellows (Champagne’s acidity pairs with the saltiness of fries in a way that’s surprising yet very suitable to the palate). On Tuesday, December 11th, you can see for yourself at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen, where they’ll be hosting California winery Roederer Estate in their Red Room lounge. Sip your way through three sparkling wines, and eat all sorts of savory treats from chef Graham Lockwood like house-cut French fries (including both truffle and salt & vinegar), poutine, caviar chips and fried chicken skins. Don’t knock it ’til you try it, skeptics.

Come to Copley sometime between 4:30 and 7:30pm, and snag your tickets here for $25 per person plus a processing fee. Stick around for extra imbibing — half pours will be available for $8 to $12; full pours will be $16 to $24 — and plan to stop at Back Bay Wine & Spirits, located just behind Oak Long Bar + Kitchen, to snag a free bottle on any mix & match case of the featured sips (see below) through December 31st.
