The folks at Fat Hen and La Brasa have added a chef-focused culinary series to the offerings at their East Somerville spot(s). Every Thursday, owner Daniel Bojorquez and chef Brian Miller will be welcoming a different cooker (it’s quite the roster!) to take over the kitchen for the evening, serving a prix fixe menu of snacks, mains, sides and desserts. You can reserve a spot in the spacious, socially-distant dining room at La Brasa between 5:00 and 9:00pm, or order your meal to-go and they’ll pack everything up for you to enjoy at home.
On Thursday, January 7th Massachusetts local chef and co-owner of the award-winning restaurant Chickadee, John DaSilva, brings his well seasoned talents to the table. He was recently named “Best Chef, Up & Coming” from Boston Magazine, making him a chef you don’t want to miss. This week he is serving up New England flare with a Mediterranean inspired twist, featuring tasty dishes like brown butter hummus with preserved lemon-olive relish and za’atar, lobster hush puppies, and BBQ lamb ribs with pomegranate, pistachio dukkah and garlicky yogurt.
