Let everyone else line up for PSL’s — you, on the other hand, have negronis to drink. That’s right, it’s a cocktail lover’s most wonderful time of the year, Negroni Week, from Monday, September 16th through Sunday, September 22nd. Tons of your favorite watering holes are throwing their Campari/gin/vermouth offerings into the ring this year including spots like The Vermilion Club and Foundry on Elm, so you can work your way from neighborhood to neighborhood – from Downtown to Davis Square – to try everyone’s special take on the classic concoction.
Wet your whistle with the slideshow below which includes options from the likes of Eva, Bambara, Nautilus Pier 4, Hojoko, The Merchant Kitchen & Drinks, Amba, Shy Bird (both Southie and Kendall Square), Little Donkey, Karma, The Lexington, Giulia, Noir, Josephine, Puritan & Co., Rebel’s Guild, Rail Stop, Bar Pallino, Coppa, State Park, Pammy’s, Woods Hill Table and Wusong Tiki Bar. Peruse a whole menu’s worth of possibilities at spots like Lucie Drink + Dine and Marseille, or make for Bar Volpe where you can enjoy a flight of three mini negronis.
If you need a little extra incentive to go forth and explore, keep in mind that a portion of the funds from every drink will go to Slow Food International, a global charity initiative that supports sustainability, education, equity, and diversity, with hospitality, food, and drink woven throughout, so you can feel a little extra warm and fuzzy each time you try a taste. Check out the Negroni Week website to map out your stops, and be sure to post photos of your faves on social media with the official hashtag, #NegroniWeek, and tag Campari and Imbibe Magazine.
