The Needham Business Association’s Harvest Fair gets some of the area’s yummiest restaurants together on Saturday, October 4th, on the town common for an afternoon of family oriented fun. Take trolley rides, horse rides or bounce around on the moonwalk. Food and beverages from local establishments will be available throughout the afternoon. The real highlight of the Harvest Fair is the crowd-pleasing Souper Bowl, in which Needham food purveyors compete for top honors in a soup taste-off. Soups from places like Avery Crossings, Erin’s Isle, Four Stars Restaurant, Indigo, Sudbury Farms, Sweet Basil, Sweet Rue’s, Wingate and Marsala Art among others are first tested and rated by a panel of judges. After that, it’s up to the public, who can (for an itty bitty entry fee) sample all the soup they want. Festivities get underway starting at 11:30am.
