The New England Culinary Institute, helping students turn their passion for the culinary arts into professions for the past 25 years, invites aspiring culinarians to participate in its second annual “Taste of New England” scholarship recipe contest. The contest tests culinary skills and imagination, while promoting local, sustainable agriculture with its New England theme. The winner, who will be selected based on their use of these ingredients along with originality and ease of preparation, will be awarded a $10,000 scholarship to NECI, (additional scholarship dollars will be made available to second and third place winners). Judges include chef Michel LeBorgne, VP of Culinary Affairs and Co-Founder of NECI and Seth and Angela Raynor chef/owners of The Boarding House and The Pearl on Nantucket.
