The New England Center for Arts & Technology (NECAT) is dedicated to providing job skills and training to people looking to get into the workforce, and on Thursday, May 16th, they’re showing off their skills for the whole city at their Best of Boston event. From 6:00 to 9:00pm, attendees will be treated to a multi-course barbecue feast from pitmaster and The Smoke Shop owner Chef Andy Husbands and beer from Night Shift Brewing. Dessert is courtesy of Flour Bakery, and everything will be prepared and served with the help and expertise of NECAT students. Tickets are $125, and proceeds benefit NECAT’s Culinary Arts Job Training Program that helps under- and unemployed adults find work and fulfillment in the food industry.
