Nantucket Wine & Food Festival

If five days of wining and dining on an iconic island off the coast of Cape Cod sounds like it might be right up your alley, this one’s for you. The Nantucket Wine & Food Festival is back for its 25th installment this spring with a full roster of happenings including expansive tastings, educational seminars and amazing lunches, brunches and dinners. From the welcome reception on Wednesday, May 17th right on through ‘til the final Grand Tasting Session on Sunday, May 21st, the epic annual event brings together superstars from the world of food and drink for a week of delicious indulgence.

Depending on what you’re in the mood for, you can seek out some new rosy-hued summer sips at the Rosé Brunch, a three-course midday meal paired with three Provencal rosés; explore your love of lobster and sparkling wine at Bubbles & Claws, a decadent lunch pairing two seasonal favorites that play well together; or develop your appreciation for Napa’s Cabernet Sauvignons at CABaret, a blind tasting through some of the West Coast’s MVPs.

If you really want to go all in, scoop up tickets for the Harbor Gala and rub elbows with renowned winemakers and award-winning chefs from the island, Boston, New York and beyond including Charlie Foster from Woods Hill Pier 4, Cassie Piuma of Sarma, Marga Raffucci from Sorellina, Amarilys Colon of Porto, Robert Sisca of Bistro du Midi and Grill 23 & Bar, and James Hackney of Twenty-Eight Atlantic at the Wequassett Resort on Cape Cod. Or, spend the day sipping wines from all over the world (Spain, Uruguay, Italy, Australia etc.) accompanied by nibbles from area restaurants and artisanal purveyors at any of the Grand Tastings (pro-tip: book one of the two Sunday sessions, 11:30am-1:30pm or 2:30-4:30pm for a chiller vibe).
