Movie Screening: Let’s talk about food at the MoS

According to Bloomberg, “It is less likely for a woman to be hired as a Head Chef than a CEO.” On Sunday, April 8th at 2:30pm, the Museum of Science in partnership with Let’s Talk About Food is exploring why with a screening of A Fine Line, a film that explores the accomplishments of successful women chefs while exploring the gender divide in the kitchen. The screening will be followed by a discussion featuring the film’s director, Joanna James and a panel of local lady chefs, business-owners, and entrepreneurs all in conversation with Louisa Kasdon, President of The Food Voice: New England’s Hub for Progressive Food. To keep the theme and conversation rolling, head to one of nine local restaurants (Porto, Craigie on Main, Teranga, Myers and Chang, Mei Mei Restaurant, PAGU, Les Sablons, Oleana, Sarma) offering a prixe-fixe Sunday Supper where you and your friends will sit and chat with a ‘table host’ at each location. The film and panel are free, and dinner at each restaurant is $50. Reserve your spot and pick your restaurant here.
