Not all works of art make it into museums and galleries—some of them get eaten first. On Wednesday, January 31st, the Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) presents their most flavorful fundraiser of the year, Movers & Shakers, featuring 20 of Boston’s top bars, restaurants, and caterers going head to head to see who can create the best food and drink pairing. The event takes place at the BCA Cyclorama, where you and your foodie friends will be able to sample bite-sized creations and scintillating sips from all the participants and vote on your favorites.
The official judges are some of the Boston arts scene’s heaviest hitters, including Lydia Shire of Scampo, Oliver Mak of Bodega, Lecolion Washington of Community Music Center of Boston and Mikko Nissinen of Boston Ballet, and they’ll announce the winner at the end of the night. The event runs from 7:00 until 9:30pm, and tickets are $50 ($60 at the door). Proceeds go toward BCA programming that benefits the Boston artists’ community. To secure your ticket, click here.
