Wednesday Tastings at Bonde Fine Wine Shop

Bonde Fine Wine Shop, open just over a year now, has announced its weekly wine tasting schedule for September so you can get into the whole back-to-school spirit of the season (but with more wine). Held each Wednesday from 7:00-9:00pm, the gatherings offer eight attendees the chance to experience food and wine pairings from around the world paired with American wines selected by award winning sommelier and owner, Bertil Jean-Chronberg.

The cozy Harvard Square spot will start off the series with September’s theme of Chef’s Table: Pairing American Wines with International Cuisine. The premiere tasting will allow you to experience the flavors of Lebanon with chef Vesko Blag and owner Mohamed El-Zein of Cambridge’s Moona on September 7th; week two showcases the spice-filled cuisine of China with chef and owner Jason Doo of Wusong Road on September 14th; week three features Persian sweets with pastry-chef and owner, Soheil Fathi of La Saison on September 21st; and week four closes out the month with Peruvian fare from guests chef JuanMa Calderón and Maria Rondeau of La Royal and Celeste on September 28th.

Tickets for each fun and informative session sell for $85; scoop yours up online here (ASAP – remember there are only 8 spots available!) and keep in mind: all wines consumed at the tasting are available for purchase should you find a new favorite.
