Mezcal—tequila’s smokier, more serious older sibling—has taken the spotlight in the spirits world lately, and fans of agave shouldn’t miss an opportunity to try it out. On Tuesday, August 22nd, Masa on Tremont Street is hosting a four-course mezcal dinner with Mezcales de Leyenda. Each course, like Guajillo Beef and Tamale, is meant to highlight the flavor of the featured mezcal (sorry, no substitutions, even for allergies), and Mezcales de Leyenda co-founder Danny Mena will be on-site to educate guests on the history of the spirit and to explain each pairing. Dinner starts at 7:00pm, and tickets are $55, including all food and four mezcal pours from different regions of Mexico (excluding tax and tip). Space is limited, so call Masa at 617.338.8884 to save your seat.
