Meet the Makers of Maker’s Mark at Spire

Chef Gabriel Frasca welcomes Maker’s Mark owner Bill Samuels and distiller David Pickerell to Spire on Thursday, January 13th for a specially designed, four-course dinner featuring the Kentucky-made bourbon. Frasca slips Maker’s Mark into dishes like drunken shrimp with cucumber, red grape, mint and pomegranate; Maker’s-brined pork with James Beard’s bourbon onions, heirloom apple, whole grain mustard and porcini; and bourbon-braised short ribs with potato puree, baby carrots, haricots verts and horseradish-bacon foam. Accompanying cocktails include Maker’s Mark mint juleps and a Maker’s Mark “Bostonian” as well as three and nine year barrel-aged Maker’s Mark. The dinner costs $70 per person and gets underway at 7:30pm following a cocktail reception at 7:00pm. Call Spire at 617.772.0202 for reservations and more information.
