Winemaking history, amazing wines and late summer deliciousness converge at Bistro du Midi on Tuesday, September 10th when Jean Trimbach, who represents the 12th generation of his family’s winemaking business, pops up in the Back Bay for a visit. The Trimbachs have been making exceptional wine in the Alsace region of France since 1626, so chefs Robert Sisca and David Iacobazzi will be pulling out all the stops with a five-course prix fixe to show off some of the iconic label’s best vintages. Check out the menu below, which includes pours of large format bottles of Cuvee Frederic Emile and Clos St. Hune served with dishes of lobster with burrata, chanterelle mushroom, and lobster beurre blanc; and Iberico flank steak with crispy pork belly, Bing cherries and mustard greens.
You can scoop up reservations here for $275 per person. Dinner kicks off at 6:00pm in the elegant upstairs dining room overlooking the Boston Garden with scallop crudo and 2021 Pinot Blanc, so you don’t be late. Watch for any updates on their IG and FB, and give the restaurant a call at 617.426.7878 if you have any Qs.
