Lovin’ Spoonfuls Virtual Chef-a-Thon

Lovin' Spoonfuls

The well-known food-rescuing peeps at Lovin’ Spoonfuls are hosting their summer Chef-A-Thon, highlighting some of your favorite chefs in series of family-friendly virtual cooking demos with a focus on low-waste, whole-ingredient cooking. Sign up for any of the culinary workshops from Tuesday, September 21st through Thursday, September 23rd to catch special guests like Charlie Lumpkins known as La Pheegan Chef and creator of Sassy Jack Chick’n, Dora Tavel-Sanchez Luz chef and co-owner of Farmhouse and Buttercup, as well as Aimee Francaes and Jesse Hassinger owners and creators of Belly of the Beast. Learn how to make a quick curry, ricotta filled squash blossoms and pork-fat brownies from the pros.

Tickets are $15 per session or $30 for all three. If you aren’t a big virtual event person (or you’re busy at 6pm each night) all of the sessions are recorded so you will get a link to each recording along with recipes for each event you pick to help you cook on your own time. Take a peek at the full line-up online here and scoop up your tickets asap. Every $1 you give helps Lovin’ Spoonfuls rescue 3lbs of food (enough to feed a neighbor for a day) so you can do a small part and still have a big impact.
