In honor of Bastille DayBar Boulud is giving guests the royal treatment. From Friday, July 14th, through Sunday, July 16th, chef Robert Differ is presenting strawberry dacquoise, a lavish dessert (for two) fit for a queen. The Marie Antoinette-inspired treat, which costs $18, boasts layers of meringue, summer strawberries, crème Chantilly and strawberry ice cream. In true extravagant Versailles fashion, the cake is topped with flashy, hand-spun hot pink sugar bouffant. Stop by anytime throughout the weekend to eat all the cake your little heart desires –  it’s what Madame Antoinette would want, after all.
