Cheese Tuesday at L’Espalier

‘Tis the season for giving thanks. If fromage is on the list of things for which you’re grateful, then you and L’Espalier’s mâitre d’ and cheese expert Matthew Helvitz have a lot in common. On Tuesday, November 6th, he’s crafting an epic almost-the-end-of-the-year crowning cheese course for the French spot’s next Cheese Tuesdays. He’ll share his “whys” about each pick — why it’s special, why he loves it, why he chose it — and encourage you to take part in the gratitude by grabbing a cheese knife and slicing right in (seriously — could there be a more delicious way to show appreciation?). The cheese selections will be a surprise, which is half the fun anyway, but you can always rely on Helvitz to present handcrafted, artisanal picks with great character and depth of flavor.

Beyond cheese, the 7:00pm dinner will include four courses from chef Frank McClelland with seasonal favorites featured throughout: figs, honeynut squash, Brussels sprouts and parsnips. Each round — including the cheese finale — comes paired with a glass of wine as well. Peep the full menu below, and book your spot (tickets are $95 each) by calling 617.262.3023.
