Boston chefs are giving Fenway Frank a run for his money, putting their signature touches on specialty hot dog creations at Kirkland Tap & Trotter. The top dogs of Boston dining are taking to the toppings game in support of Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign—50 percent of guest chef hot dog sales will go towards the non-profit’s mission to end childhood hunger. First to bat is Top Chef alumna Kristen Kish, followed by heavy hitters Susan Regis, Tim Cushman and dynamic duo Andrew Taylor and Mike Wiley of Portland’s Eventide. Each chef will debut their dog at the Inman Square restaurant on the first Monday of their run, and then their take will be available every Monday for the rest of the month alongside chef Tony Maws’ Kirkland Dog (available for $16 each). Diners can grab a punch card and those who dig in to each of the guest offerings will have a chance to collaborate with Maws on their own hot dog vision.
