Julie Powell Author Dinner at Maxwell’s 148

Chef Mitchell Maxwell welcomes Julie Powell, author of Julie & Julia, 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen to Maxwell’s 148 in Natick on Tuesday, December 6th. Powell, who spent a year cooking her way through Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking, will be on hand to read excerpts from her memoir, the vodka-soaked, tear-stained story of Powell’s triumphs and failures in the kitchen. Chef Maxwell, for his part, will be creating a menu straight from Child’s venerable 1961 cookbook. The event, which begins at 7:00pm, costs $75 per person, which includes a copy of Julie & Julia (but does not include wine, tax or gratuity).
