Julia Child, host of The French Chef, is one of the biggest names in the kitchen, and she happened to be a native of Cambridge. On Wednesday, August 15th, Chef Will Gilson and his team at Puritan & Co. are inviting a few of their friends to wish Child a very happy birthday the best way they know how: by cooking a big meal. Chefs Tony Messina (UNI), Cassie Piuma (Sarma), Nick Calias (Brasserie Jo), Douglass Williams (MIDA), and Puritan’s own Rebekah Cote will all be in the kitchen while you sit at long, family-style tables to celebrate Julia Child’s ability to bring people together over food. Dishes will be served individually, but you’ll be bonding with old friends and making new ones over full carafes of wine (beer and cocktails from Puritan’s list will also be available for purchase). Dinner is at 6:30pm, tickets are $105, and groups are encouraged to buy in bulk in order to be seated together. Check it out here.
