Jim Becker, Back in the Kitchen at Caffe Umbra

General manager Jim Becker heads back into the kitchen at Caffe Umbra on Tuesday, October 21st for their annual Wines of Spain Dinner. The former Rauxa and Taranta chef will be creating a four-course menu that is scheduled to include white almond gazpacho with Serrano ham and farm melon; seared scallop and house-made Catalan black sausage with sweet parsnip puree and fig syrup; and braised oxtail with Cabrales stuffed turnip. Spanish wines will be paired with each course and Dellie Rex of Wines of Spain will be on hand to provide information on each of the wines.
